“用英语讲中国故事大会”是中国教育电视台与新航道国际教育集团联合主办的一项面向海内外青少年的活动，旨在为广大青少年提供弘扬中华优秀文化、与世界交流的平台，充分展示青少年传承和弘扬中华文化的丰硕成果。在中外语言交流合作中心指导下，大会于2021年设立“来华留学生组”。

To promote cultural exchange and communication among global youth, as well as to showcase achievements of international Chinese language education, New Channel International Education Group, together with China Education Television, is holding the 6th “Stories of China Retold in English” Challenge. The International Students in China Category was set up for youth from various cultural backgrounds in 2021 under the guidance of Language Education and Cooperation.

各国青少年结合在华学习生活经历，用中文或英文（主要采用中文）生动讲述他们的所见所闻所感，内容既涵盖中国传统文化经典，更聚焦当代中国在高铁、数字经济等领域的创新突破，以及参与“一带一路”、全球气候治理等国际合作中的生动实践，见证中国在科技创新、现代化治理与全球协作中的积极贡献，成为推动跨文化理解与文明互鉴的青春力量，也为大会注入了时代内涵与国际视野。

Young participants from all over the world shared their firsthand experiences studying and living in China, delivering vivid narratives primarily in Chinese (with some English contributions). Their stories not only touched upon traditional Chinese classics but also focused on contemporary achievements — from innovations in high-speed railways and the digital economy to China's participation in global initiatives such as the Belt and Road Initiative and climate governance. In doing so, they have witnessed China's positive contributions to technological advancement, modern governance, and global collaboration. As a dynamic force for promoting cross-cultural understanding and mutual learning among civilizations, these young voices have also infused the event with contemporary connotation and international perspective.

一、大会设置 Settings of the Challenge

第六届大会于2025学年开展（至26年春夏），根据国籍和学籍情况分为三大组别，分别是大学组、来华留学生组和海外组。来华留学生组 面向在中国读书的外籍学生，第六届来华留学生组活动包含初级、高级和中外青年总展演3 个选拔阶段。

· 初级阶段：2025年11月至2026年3月（作品截止于2026年3月31日）

· 高级阶段：2026年4至5月

· 中外青年总展演阶段：2026年7月

The 6th Challenge is carried out during the 2025 academic year (extending to the summer of 2026). It is divided into 3 categories based on nationality and student status: College Category, International Students in China Category and Overseas Category. The International Students in China Category is designed for foreign students studying in China The 6th selection of the International Students in China Category includes 3 selection stages: Preliminary Round, Advanced Round and Grand Showcase.

· Preliminary Round: Nov. 2025 to Mar. 2026（The closing date for the preliminary round is March 31st, 2026）

· Advanced Round: April to May 2026

· Grand Showcase: July 2026

来华留学生组要求选手全程使用非母语、优先选择中文进行各环节展示。

Participants arerequired to present in a language other than their native language (Chinese preferred).

二、作品要求 Requirements

选手模拟舞台现场使用非母语（以中文为主）拍摄作品，录制不超过1.5分钟的视频，在线提交视频作品。作品形式 “朗诵、地方故事撰写和朗读、自我介绍” 三选一：

选手从推荐故事段落中选一篇，或从推荐图书中选一篇朗诵。

【地方故事撰写和朗读】

选手撰写地方短篇故事并朗读，须围绕中国元素展开创作内容；其中“故事主体”不是选手个人、“地方”以选手高校所在地为主、“中国元素”包含且不限于中国风物、习俗、人物、成就、艺术或精神。你的故事应该有一个清晰的叙事结构，包括 “故事开头（介绍背景和主要人物）” 、“故事主体（叙述主要事件以及故事高潮）” 和 “故事结尾（鼓励创意生动的故事结局）” 。

【自我介绍】

选手从自身出发展开介绍。自我介绍内容须含有中国元素，包含且不限于中国风物、习俗、人物、成就、艺术或精神。

Contestants recite in front of the camera, record a video of no more than 1.5 minutes, and submit the video work online. Participants are required to present in their non-native language (preferably Chinese). The contestants will prepare their entries in one of 3 forms: "Recitation", "Local Story Writing & Retelling" and "Self-Introduction". The requirements are as follows:

【Local Story Writing & Retelling】

Contestants shall draft a short local story based on Chinese elements. Please be careful not to use the contestants themselves as the subject of the story，"Local" refers to the location of the contestant's university. Chinese elements include but are not limited to Chinese cultural icons, Chinese customs, Chinese great figures, Chinese achievements, Chinese arts, or Chinese spirit. Your story should have a clear narrative structure, including a "beginning" (introducing the setting and main characters), a "body" (describing the main events and the climax of the story), and an "ending" (creative endings are especially encouraged).

【Self-Introduction】

The contestant will introduce himself/herself. The content of the introduction shall contain Chinese elements, which include but are not limited to Chinese cultural icons, Chinese customs, Chinese great figures, Chinese achievements, Chinese arts, or Chinese spirit.3

四、注意事项 Notes

① 录制要求：选手自选作品形式后，请使用非母语（以中文为主）录制个人原创视频作品，请务必注意展示过程和视频中不要透露个人信息，例如：英文姓名、校名、学院/专业、校服/校徽、校门/教学楼等；请保持人声录制清晰、面部光线明亮、环境安静；录制前可自行准备背景、PPT、服装道具等来辅助模拟现场；如使用手机类移动设备，建议采用横屏拍摄，以便展示上半身及完整肢体语言、获得更高的画面质量、有机会入选特色选手宣传视频；请不要在视频中添加活动不相关、雷同或抄袭等涉嫌作弊的不规范内容。

② 文件规格：视频文件时长最多1.5 分钟，支持格式支持mp4、flv、mkv、rmvb 等视频格式，视频文件最大200M；故事文稿支持doc、docx、pdf、txt、jpg、png 格式附件和文本输入。

③ 选手应保证个人信息真实准确、作品由本人出镜；上传的视频经AI 初审为“正式作品”后方可进入评审环节；如出现类型选错、面部被遮挡、视频过短、噪音过大、任何形式的广告或活动不相关内容，需重新提交视频；如发现严重违规，例如大段抄袭、作品雷同等作弊现象，组委会将有权取消选手的参与资格和所获奖项。

④ 往届中外青年总展演获奖选手不可再次参与本届中外青年总展演阶段的选拔。

⑤ 选手全程的音视频作品、稿件、现场影像资料及版权均归大会组委会所有，本届大会各项事宜的最终解释权和仲裁权归大会组委会所有。

① Recording requirements: Contestants could choose one form to prepare their original video in a non-native language (preferably Chinese). Please be sure not to disclose the contestants' personal information during the presentation or in the video, college/major, school uniform/ school logo, school gate/teaching building, etc. Please ensure clear audio, bright facial lighting, and a quiet recording environment. You may prepare backgrounds, PPTs, costumes and props in advance to help simulate a live scene during recording. If using a mobile device such as a smartphone, record in landscape orientation to show your upper body and full body language for better video quality, and have the chance to be selected for featured contestants' promotional videos. Any content that is irrelevant, duplicate, plagiarized, or otherwise suspected of cheating is strictly prohibited.

② Video guidelines: Video is maximum 1.5 minutes long, and the supported file formats are mp4, flv, mkv, rmvb, etc. The maximum video file size is 200M. Story manuscripts support attachments in doc, docx, pdf, txt, jpg, and png formats, as well as text input.

③ Participants must ensure that all personal information provided is true and accurate, and that they appear personally in their submissions. Videos will only proceed to the judging process after passing the initial AI review. Participants must resubmit their videos if any of the following issues are identified: selecting the wrong format, having an obscured face, videos being too short, using the incorrect language, excessive background noise, or any other related issues. Please avoid any form of advertising or any content not related to the event. The organizing committee reserves the right to disqualify any performance that is found to contain plagiarized or copied material or has been created through any form of cheating. Any prizes awarded for such content may also be revoked.

④ Winners of the previous Grand Showcase may not participate in the selection activities of the 6th Grand Showcase.

⑤ Audio and video works, manuscripts, on-site video materials and copyrights of all participants are owned by the Organizing Committee, and the right of final interpretation and arbitration of all matters of this event belongs to the Organizing Committee.
